I disagree with the notion that nature provides no purposes. Of course it does. It provides the purposes of: survival, growth, reproduction, and the advancement of one's own species. Everything about evolutionary biology supports that.

That could well be a purpose and in front of everybody's eyes but a rather depressing one. People look for higher meaning worth living for. Living to eat and reproduce isn't very satisfying for many.

I would go even further and also provide that there's a larger purpose in nature to living organisms: the battle of structure over entropy. Life changes the entire equation of the universe, and establishes a genuine drama and battle for the future.

Well, human beings are part of nature and human beings often do things with a purpose in mind or on purpose...and sometimes without a purpose. Is that not true?

Nature is not something to which the concept of purpose (and it's presence or absence) applies. Nature is everything. To ascribe a purpose requires standing outside of it somewhere. Doesn't mean it's purposeless. It is all purposes that are. So, there are purposes in nature.

Metamask flags the
@LetterWiki site as a security risk? Strange. -
Hi
@examachine1, thanks for the heads up! We were alerted to this problem earlier in the week by another reader. It is likely a false positive, but@Ry_Nomad is investigating to confirm the site hasn't been compromised. If you have any extra info please let us know.pic.twitter.com/Efk2tYZ7KI
