The "words of wisdom" I don't mind. The replication of a set of unchallengeable dogmas, with its own inquisition, desiring political control and believing itself wise and perfectly good... that's the dangerous part. "Gods" never were the main problem.

Great respect for the Mt Rushmore of atheists, and likewise tired of empty platitudes. BUT... there is value in looking for something bigger... because in most cases it's the journey that counts, not the destination. And, there IS something bigger, called the universe... aka, us!
