I don’t find that particularly profound. Human behaviour is normally distributed. There would be something wrong if some of us weren’t just as bad.

and a careful consideration. The world needs more agnosticism, and less theism/atheism. Agnosticism is where there can be a middle ground for mutual acceptance. Huxley would approve!

Agreed. We should even keep our heads when intellectual theologians like Jordan Peterson or James Matthew Wilson insult us by saying we're actually Christians. All we need do is say "You're wrong," then go about proving how. Insults aren't necessary.

The article is about best intentions. Sympathiser to moderate middle class sustainability. Probably the only place it has application? Any person who has striven to put up bridges soon comes across fascist dominance ; in wider society. Who controls what goes. Religions agenda too

It’s certainly true that there are absolutist atheists, but surely they are a contradiction to the principle of objecting to the absolutism of faith.

I don't know, so I'm not an atheist, I do know so I'm not a theist. reason if there is a maker it's the same for all of us and a have a suspicion that our universal innate feeling of awe is our only proof. I don't want to pick a side, not Muslim, Jew, Christian--simply, people.

I think we are victims of memes that have subverted us for millennia. Memes that defy language due the misappropriation of meaning. Speaking the same language then resists, rather than resolves, common ground. Reinforcing entrenchment to tribal identities. State sanctioned divide

The subtext of memes and spoken language; our thoughts : are mostly illiterate. We become trapped within ourselves, incapable of conveying meaning that defines our facsimile....

The main issue is a political one. I see religion as a force into which people can be enlisted and then the question is who controls that force? For the most part conservatism controls that force and negatively affects our society. That makes religion a personal transgression.
