Sometimes I wonder what it'd be like to not constantly be angry and disappointed with myself. That's what I'm working towards. But most of the time it feels like an unattainable fantasy.

This is literally my entire life. Recovery period -> low functioning and struggling to get basic things done -> oh shit deadlines -> pull it together for a week and do three weeks of work in four days -> sizzle pop BLAM! -> burnout -> repeat.

My favorite part is after destroying myself to get something done I PROMISE myself, I swear black and blue, next time it will be different.

Can this be a "non-ADHD" creative persons process as well? Feel like a lot of ADHD symptoms described is what 90% of my fellow "creatives" also experience? Will medications help that process? Or slow what is often a very typically creative way of working down...Just asking :)

If you feel like a lot of ADHD symptoms describe you and substantially and negatively affect your life, you should consider getting tested. Many symptoms are common for non ADHD people to feel occasionally, it's the frequency/severity/impact that's different
