    For this reason, next winter I'm going to Andalusia from about November until April I think. Might write another book about Spanish communist history, might just sit around grazing on olives and cañas at outdoor tables - either is good!

    "Tetchy and miserable" is how just described it to me - and that is *to the letter* how I've felt this week

    I don't know how much of it is the claustrophobia of it, how much is near-permanent January night, how much is the wretchedness of social media, and how much the screaming wasteland of UK politics –– but I'm definitely finding this lockdown tougher than the last one.
