IMHO, we learned during W's administration that the press will not report on the horrors of Republicans.

The only solution for how to cover it is NOT to cover it. Put a truth and racism filter in front of all reportorial and editorial decisions. If he lies, redact it. Just give us a blank with a note [at this point the President said something untrue or racist or both.]

It’s the business model. Neutral is good in theory, terrible in practice. Bring back partisan press which powered abolition, progressive era, and New Deal.

In the swathes of the country where people don’t read articles beyond the headline and live/work with FOX News droning in the background, you will easily conclude that newspapers are outrageously unfair to Trump and people who don’t support him are a bunch of whiners

Those who care WILL find out what trump's doing through some form! The 4th Estate has done an excellent job of covering him, down to finding out most of what the #MuellerReport contains! Those who follow trump just don't follow ANY news outlets!
