Yes. The connection to the paragraph above that one was what got me. Still, lesson learned. And regardless, "filth" is not the wrong word.
Hard to relegate that filth comment to the criminal gangs when they're deporting folks who haven't committed a crime.
Yeah that's why, even in context, statement is odd. And perhaps why WSJ framed comments the way they did.
Also, perhaps I'm being cynical, but Sessions and this administration haven't really earned generous interpretations of their rhetoric.
