i think the moral of the story here is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS PROOFREAD. also if you want to avoid the risk of being confused with a paedophile then maybe your organisation shouldn’t have employed so many of them

oh also when i was new at [redacted] i once almost purged three months of vital premier league content from the servers. luckily i realised before it was too late but me and two colleagues had to spend an hour manually undeleting every component of every clip, one click at a time

also not really a “mistake” as such but when i had my first psychotic episode in 2003 i went round my workplace pulling cables out of all the CCTV cameras like some kind of mentally ill solid snake

lol oh yeah and during my last manic episode shortly before i was sectioned with psychosis i wrote some rambling dissertation-length screeds to senior management with some (actually pretty good!) ideas about how we could “fix” the company 😬 (luckily they were very understanding)
