@dancounsell So the app isn't as good just because the icon changed…?
-

-
@dancounsell but i don’t mind the icon. a bit trite maybe? on a different app i’d applaud it. all-white UI tho? not a fan. i’m over white. -
@isaiah@dancounsell I was getting tired of the old icon. It did not fit with the look of the rest of the icons on my screen. -
@joeworkman the new icon is nice — i’m just shocked they rebranded — dropped their color-stripes brand from everything, not just the icon. -
@isaiah good point on the stripes. Those could have definitely been worked into a new icon. Maybe its Facebook trying to make it theirs

@dancounsell i wonder what they hoped to achieve with a re-branding. tough for me to imagine they thought this change would improve it. -
@isaiah I don't understand what there is to hate. The functionality is the same. Its just more white which to me makes the photos the star -
@joeworkman i don’t think a stark nakedness elevates the content nearly as well as good design. this is why great art deserve a frame.

-
@dancounsell Yep. Learnt that the hardware after rebranding@pulse_cms - lost 2 weeks of my life replying to hate mail + affected roadmap. -
@dancounsell people are stupid, that's not a reason to give 1 star... -
-
@dancounsell Those reviews are bogus. But in my opinion, accessibility regressions *in the app* warrant a lower rating than before.

@dancounsell tell me a flat rendition from@dribbble would not have been met with rave feedback.pic.twitter.com/dWbm724tre

@dancounsell oh wow that's wonderful! -
@dancounsell but it's just an icon. Ridiculous how much people bitch over something so silly.
