.@HelenaVillarRT and I interviewed several poor Venezuelans begging here in Cúcuta. They all told us food and most goods are available in Venezuela, but they can’t afford them because prices have skyrocketed. Inflation is the problem.

Some Venezuelans told us medicines aren’t available. That’s a result of U.S. sanctions. Now we’re supposed to believe the Trump administration wants to deliver “humanitarian aid” to Venezuela out of genuine altruism.

Venezuelans or Colombians?

Venezuelans. Of course there are many poor Colombians too but Venezuelans are in the streets here. My point is: If the U.S. claims to care about Venezuelans, why not provide aid to those who are accessible here?

Erm...Let me think, perhaps so that Venezuelans don’t need to go “begging” ANYWHERE and can find food and medicine in their own country?!

More lies, 90% of " Venezuelans" are returnee Colombian and their sons or daughters born in Venezuela some of the 1.7 million . They are in Colombia, Colombian citizens not Venezuelans

Tell me this. How much aid does US give Columbia every year? Why don’t you ask Canada for money? Why do you think you get to tell us how to spend our tax money? Ever hear of “Thank You”? By the way, we have our own starving people right here in the US.

Why not end the sanctions and maybe there would be impoverished Venezuelans anywhere.
