He’s clearly not getting the whole ‘integrity’ thing. Even as a parish councillor I had to declare any interests and recuse myself as appropriate. It’s not complicated.

Oh yes. I've witnessed a few Conservative planning application committee councillors recuse themselves and then witnessed the orchestrated pre-agreed decision played out by other councillors. What a joke!

This really shocked me (I know it shouldn't have) but to see his of all people, who's mate is being investigated, after he himself has been found to be breaking the law. The cheek of these f*ckers is incredible. This is what privilege looks like.

Trouble is, contracts doled out on his watch were BECAUSE the recipient knew a minister, not IF. And knowing the minister happened to be their only qualification for being granted the contracts.
