WA's middle housing bill is best-in-the-nation stuff. It would legalize:
Sixplexes within a half-mile of transit and fourplexes everywhere else in cities > 20k
Duplexes everywhere in cities > 10k
Bonus: It would also lift parking mandates near transit.
basically equivalent to the new NZ laws, in combination - though the unincorporated land stuff looks downright baffling
Great news! I'm part of a forming cohousing community, and we're building single-family cottages, but much denser than typical single-family zoning. We would've considered denser structures, but they're currently illegal 😫
