I know everyone wants to know what Michael Cohen was doing representing Sean Hannity but why shouldn't he be able to keep that to himself? If he was his attorney (Hannity seems to leave that q open) that falls squarely within atty-client privilege. Journalistic qs are separate

correct. But now the Twitterverse is demanding to know what the representation was about

Dan, did #SeanHannity have an obligation to disclose to viewers he had a professional relationship with #Cohen - or is that simply a courtesy to viewers? #AskingForAFriend 🤔

Maybe people wanna know bc night after night Hannity goes in front of millions of people and misleads them. IMO he had no business covering the Cohen stories knowing what we know today. It’s a clear conflict of interest and misleading

Correct he's not on trial. But, Sean as a personality on TV, has an obligation to tell his viewers he's a "friend"/client of Cohen. Since he didn't, there should be discipline from his employer. That said, we have no right to know the details & the govt has NO right to demand it.

@seanhannity said that he never retained, never received a bill from, never hired but had a few occasions in which he asked him a question. Does this amount to A/C privilege? If so, how? No money changed hands.

Interesting how the appearance of impropriety only matters as long as it isn’t a liberal or liberal supporter. #ClintonCrimes #Comey #Rice as examples

I think as a journalist and I use that term sarcastically he should disclose if he is involved in business and/or friendship if he’s reporting on Cohen and trump. Just more scum bag reporting on hannity’s part and faux news!

I know. It's almost like Sean has no morals by commenting all over about the Cohen raid, and how unfair it is for trump, without ever disclosing he's a client too! ;)

Well if Hannity didn't pay for Cohens legal service, doesn't he not have attorney client privilege? Hannity is insisting he never retained or paid Cohen

I respect you Mr Abrams, but you're wrong here. Hannity had a conflict of interest. He's on a national channel to millions defending and praising Cohen while he's viewers think he's being "objective" to the story. He had game. He had something to protect.
