Hey @danabrams I’m from AR and drive thru MO weekly and if I got pulled over for not having a front plate I would beat that charge in court everyday.

-
Why?
-
Because it is against the law in the State you are in.
-
It's not probable cause. When you register a car and get license plates you are governed by the state that your license and registration is under. If you go visit another state you were still governed by the law. of the state that you have the car registered in.
-
WRONG!!! You are required to conform to the laws of the state you are driving IN. If the state you are driving in requires front plates, you MUST comply. U are thinking of smog requirements in that ur car is only required 2 comply with the registered state's requirements.
-
Thanks for your input Chris. Surely you mean if one lives in AR they need both front & rear license plate. If a person travels thru Missouri you can't be required to have front & rear plates. Issue on last episode was unclear if son lived in AR or Missouri. He was 'ify'.
-
Yes, absolutely, ALL states require rear (last time I was active) but some are not as rigorous about front.
-
Thanks Chris! I live in GA and we're not required to have front license plates. Appreciate your service to law enforcement! It's an honor ro follow LEOs. Hope your 4th was great. Have a fabulous weekend!
-
It was my honor to serve but thank you! Have a safe summer.

So a person that drives in a 2 tag state is subject to a probable cause stop because they live in and own a vehicle that is registered and insured in a 1 tag state? Is this what I'm understanding? I finally got that right!
