    This doesn’t apply to everything. And yet this paradox applies in more cases than we give it credit for. If CSS cascade didn’t exist as a primitive, it could be a hot new framework that everyone is migrating to.

    I think there are two lessons here. 1) For people upset with React being mainstream now, look back at how you or others made fun of it in the past. 2) For the React community, keep an open mind since otherwise you’ll also be on the other side when the next big thing happens.

    I’ve been seeing a lot of hostility against React community lately. I think it is the perception that the React community is punching down. I never really picked up on this transition. I’m still in the underdog mindset from back when we were essentially laughed off stage.

    This is great. Too many beginners get caught up in complicated tutorials with build processes, bundlers, etc... it makes the whole learning process overwhelming. Keep it simple.

    Full circle. I started usin React, long ago, with only a script tag and switched to bundling. The simplicity of a script tag is amazing.
