I find it deeply frustrating that the second a personality trait is found to be associated with ADHD, people immediately start trying to pathologize it and figure out how to make it a bad thing.

For example, people with ADHD tend to score higher on the Boredom Proneness Scale. And "aha! That's why ADHD people have all these problems" As an alternative: people who are bored tend to be more curious, and therefore look into more things.

Like any personality trait, curiosity (and boredom) can get you into trouble, but really no more than voracious extroversion or the personality traits that good salespeople have.

We should embrace the fact that ADHD kids (and adults) are rabidly curious and prone to boredom, not pathologize curiosity.P

I tend to want to downplay the "superpower" thing and focus more on the traits being different, and the right trait for certain kinds of activities. Good salespeople have a collection of traits, and we mostly view them positively in the context of sale.
