When you are in Europe and learn about the atrocities of WWII, there is no sugar coating what happened. It’s dark and we have to learn it so history doesn’t repeat itself These stats speak to why so many people follow our racist/ fascist pres still, they don’t know history...

How many young Americans are of some European descent and their cousins (Albeit perhaps somewhat distant cousins) were either negatively affected by or killed during the Holocaust? It’s so sad they don’t realize this.
-
Wouldn’t stress it. It’s not like they asked every young adult in the nation. It’s likely a small fraction. Seeing as 300 million people live in the U.S (Around 57 million between the ages 20-34), it’s safe to say that that’s an extremely small fraction.

I knew the far-right was growing among my generation, but 23% think the holocaust is a myth? That's... not good at all. I assume these numbers aren't too accurate honestly, but even if it's close to 20% that's extremely depressing.

And if we keep tearing down historical statues here, the same can be said of slavery.
-
People learn from books not statues. Name one thing you got from a statue that you couldn’t have gotten elsewhere.
