Don’t wanna sound hyperbolic but this Tuesday’s election might be Seattle’s most important in a while. Seattle could have a majority WOC progressive council or one that sweeps encampments. City Attorney will either be abolitionist or MAGA. Mayor either pro-corporate or pro-labor.

. has been pushing to move local elections away from odd/off years. We would see such a higher turnout if national elections were going on at the same time.
Yes, Mike has brought that up many times. Perhaps folks will get behind it this time around.

But we need those off years to quietly push through more levies so the property tax pie gets as big as the Costco apple pie.
Those that care (and hopefully have studied the issues and:or candidates) will vote regardless.
