  2. TW- racism and ableist violence This is unacceptable, deplorable, and horrible. I hope these girls look back at this one day and feel ashamed.

  6. A must read. The last sentence of this article really hit home for me. I share soooo many of the sentiments conveyed by this brilliant activist.

  8. Society teaches us that disabled people are less valuable. This is deeply embedded in our society — the lack of representation, the lack of accessibility, the pushback disabled ppl get when fighting for our basic human rights. It took me a minute, but I learned, I’m valuable AF.

  9. This means everything to me. If I can help others feel confident and powerful enough to speak their truth, that’s an accomplishment, for both of us ❤️

  10. I used to put a smile on my face and succumb to ableism and just play my part like the good little disabled girl society wanted me to be. Now, I put my atrophied, disabled arm in the air and fight for my damn rights. If that makes you uncomfortable, oh well.

  12. Wherever you and and whatever you’re doing, remember: respect your disability fatigue. Cancel plans if you need to & don’t feel guilty about it. Take a break. Take a nap. Just chill. Because you are worthy of rest & peace. Listen to your body, it doesn’t lie.

  16. Try living on 700$/month & tell me again that disabled people are lucky to get “free” govt disability checks. Oh, and that’s you’re only income. Bc if you make too much, it’ll get taken away along with other benefits. So no side hustle either.

  17. I never attacked ableds? Talking about how ableds regularly treat disabled ppl is not an attack. I also think you should look up bigotry if you think that’s what my tweet is 🤐

  18. Abled: can you have sex? How many times have you had sex? But like HOW do you have sex? Me: makes a snarky comment about how their ableism is showing. Abled: okay but like I’m genuinely curious. It’s not my fault I’m ignorant. Educate me. HAVE YOU EVER TAKEN SEX ED????

  19. Ableds: have mutual respect for each other. Also ableds: finds any opportunity to ask disabled people obvious ignorant and intrusive questions.

  20. Wheelchairs: -stigmatized -thought of as a hinderance -are necessary for disabled ppl to live -cost a boatload News: we created a new gliding chair ableds can rent anywhere on the go instead of a bike so they can get around easier. I can’t make this shit up..
