Why do they combine Hydro with nuclear? Surely Hydro is a renewable energy source which should be with solar and wind.

Nuclear + hydro are both clean firm sources of electricity, and as legacy capacity they are on a trajectory of gradual decline. Wind + solar are clean variable sources of electricity, and as newer technologies they are on a rapid growth trajectory.

Sceptical if hydro is on a decline. There might be little room for growth but it ain't going anywhere. Instead should see growth of pumped hydro systems to help back up wind and solar
