I'm gonna say it here and now: Dems will retake the Senate of a surge of young voters driven to the polls by the epic shitshow that they can no longer avoid hearing about daily. The polls we're seeing now are all bullshit noise and no likely voter model can capture what's coming.

Finally, all the people who love Trump were always gonna turn out for him, and anyone who was wavering but came back into the fold over Kavanaugh was always going to find a way home to the Republican Party. But young women who don't usually vote in midterms are fucking pissed off

I'll say it now for the record: the idea that the Kavanaugh fight is gonna help R's in the midterms is bullshit being pushed by the right-wing propaganda machine. More women are going to turn out for D's than otherwise would have had R's not gone to bat for another sex criminal.

Tomorrow will see the culmination of a 45 year jihad by the pro-life cult, enabled by two antimajoritarian presidential elections, a stolen Supreme Court seat, and 51 Republican senators who represent 18% of the US population (plus a whole lot of livestock.) Democracy in America.

I'd be willing to wager that every day they drag out this Kavanaugh bullshit they lose another point or two with women voters...

So what's the real story? Kelly asked Rosenstein to resign but Rod said he would have to be fired so Kelly's people leaked that he was resigning to pressure him, he stood firm, and Trump decided to wait until Thursday to fire him in person to distract from the Kavanaugh hearing?
