I was going to say "ha ha that sounds like my level of density" me but then I remembered the time when this more or less literally happened to me and went "oh that's what was going on" insteadhttps://twitter.com/Nicole_Cliffe/status/1053351290628059136 …

Yeah I take comfort in the fact that many people who are as bad at this as I am do seem to eventually make it work
-
One thing I learned: people on dating sites are actually there to date people. Unlike people, say, in a music or art class where they may or may not be flirting with you--and more likely not.
-
Unfortunately I find online dating almost unbearably depressing
-
I would only add.... it's perhaps not unlike every other form of dating then ;-).
-
No the numbers game is very different. Also most of the depressing part is before the actual date
-
I found the most depressing thing about dating is guys looking for one night stands but lying about it.
-
I had a fair number of problems with people thinking I “wasn’t interested” because I wanted to take it slow. Yeah. Those “guys” suck.
-
It's the old 'I'll call you' cliche I kicked myself for not seeing coming. Have you tried saying straight you're interested but want to take it slow? As the thread started, being explicit is a good thing.
