Recently spent 3 hours trying to get a docker container to properly map to HTTPS via proxy. What I learned: Life is too short for IaaS 🛠️😅 Just take my money I don't even care anymore...

Prescription for learning to code 💻 Step 1: Codecademy for HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL, Ruby/Python Step 2: Random web apps that solve your own problems (Google all the bits you don't know) Programming tutorials can only keep you engaged so long. Step 2 is much more exciting.

(my Catsnatcher lessons cont'd) 5. Above ALL ELSE, forget how it looks or what method you use to present it. They're there to pay for value, someone with a real need isn't going to be put off by an MVP

(my Catsnatcher lessons cont'd) 4. If you're fortunate enough to have a form provider that gives you the partial submissions, put the email box on a separate page to the payments so you can still add non-converts to your mailing list

(my Catsnatcher lessons cont'd) 3. Use forums and free traffic to test our your MVP and improve it (low time invest), then (if your margin allow for it) implement a PPC and content marketing plan (high time invest) for your tweaked full version and start the growth engine

What my experience with Catsnatcher has taught me: 1. Think like a user - why are they there/paying? What's the value? Throw away/outsource everything else (including the app if needs be). 2. Never take more than 4 weeks to get an idea to market.. to be cont'd

No better feeling as a maker than seeing that first Stripe notification after sharing on this morning! 😍

There's been a $1B+ software tech IPO in Boston every year for the last decade. And many, many, many more acquisitions. Bio is great, but Boston is easily the second best city in tech, measured by liquidity.
