After opening a video I immediately pick the 240p to save bandwidth, but the next time it changes the setting itself to hd and a minute later it caches almost the entire video. It takes more than a hundred megabytes in a few seconds on a LTE network.

Something annoying with Android YouTube app is that it is not bandwidth friendly. I have 10 gb mobile monthly data plan but I have to be really cautious while watching YouTube videos, because If I don't, the app eats a good share from my monthly data quota.

Three issues; -Why do you need to cache almost the entire video immediately? -Why do you change the setting to a more data consuming high quality video? Is it a bug? -Why don't you provide a quota friendly option in the app for people who want to save bandwidth? Thanks in advance
