    The log4j disaster makes those DORA measures seem even more prescient. How quickly can teams move to get a mitigation into a production environment is directly tied to lead time, frequency, failure rate, etc. Requiring long "baking" cycles for changes is a security anti-pattern.

    I actually just started working on instrumenting Nx with ! It's an Nx tasks runner that creates a trace of all of your Nx tasks. It doesn't reach into Webpack yet, but it exposes ENV variables that could make that possible!

    i spent the first couple years of honeycomb waiting for someone to call us out: "wait, haven't BI tools already let you ask new questions, and figure out unknown-unknowns, and all that, for years?" (no one did)

    Second day of the : Nice to see the high cardinality attributes working in a demo when digging into things. This looks so useful, especially if one has a few high stakes users or wants to catch some of these obscure but persistent "it's broken for me" issues.

    Deployed my first OpenTelemetry collector, ingesting my OTel traces and exporting to just in time for It's a wonderful experience. Once you grasp the scope and all the named things, it's slick. They have their own helm chart for easy Honeycomb usage

    Distributed Tracing with 1. Why is this slow? 2. Why is stuff failing? 3: What does this even do? 3 is especially underrated IMO. "I could look at documentation or I could look at a live trace." - Brian Langbecker extremely powerful for new joiners
