    In Olst, is building a tunnel for pedestrians and cyclists on behalf of the municipality of Olst-Wijhe. For three days earlier this month, no trains ran here and part of the tunnel was placed under the track. The work can be followed via webcam.

    There are now 811 shared e-bikes, cargo bikes and scooters, and 613 e-cars available at a total of 17 eHubs in . The hubs were created as part of a European project, in which they were opened on a trial basis and with a subsidy in six cities.

    Why bike lanes alone won't get everyone cycling: "The most important part of a bike plan is the car plan. We must reduce the speed, volume and access of motor vehicles on our streets. If we are to see mass cycling, we need to tame the car in our cities."
