They're both acceptably safe for everyday use (nothing is unhackable, no, especially not wallets that say they are) and don't require an extensive amount of effort to make a transaction.

Absolutely. And even though they have had arguments, I've not seen anyone from either of them act unprofessionally.

Today these do represent the best options, but Ledger > Trezor. That said both unfortunately still leave lots to be desired though.

Yep, I think for most people, physical attack is not an issue, and this can be mitigated by use of a passphrase.
