We are now looking at as much as 20kW to cool that container when it comes onboard, and 8kW to maintain the temperature. We've jumped to 8MW at least! That's changed what you are doing in the engine room.
I think you are confusing the E class with the Triple-E.

Nope. Made commissioning work onboard the first E-boats 'round 2007 (Emma, Estrella...). You could do the math from a drawing hanging outside the deck office. Real capacity well above the officially stated - competition parameter, i suppose.

It really doesn't add up though. 23 above deck bays, with 2 * 22 * 9 = 396 containers each, giving 9108. 20 holds, with 2 * 20 * 11 = 440 containers each, giving 8800. Total 17908. That's not accounting for the narrowing forward an aft, engine room etc.
