    Agreed. I get all the reasons why reviews have to be blind, but I've often thought everyone should be willing to sign their review and hand it to the authors in person. If not, there's a problem with the review.

    Academia is about civil disagreement. That reviewer articulated critique in a way that they were happy to make public. There are good reasons for having anonymous reviews, but I like to think of reviews as something I would be happy to read aloud in front of the authors. 2/4

    Be vigilant this week. Saudi Aramco hack was done on Ramadan when nobody was in the office. Operation Glowing Symphony picked a time when the enemy would not be online. Bangladesh Bank Hack was done over a 3 day weekend. Hackers know when to strike.

    Work on defining the "kill chain" for online influence operations will help people see and approach the problem comprehensively.

    AMITT is an "influence chain" model (based on the Cyber Kill Chain/ ATT&CK): its columns are a list of steps required to successfully conduct an attack, where any “link” broken results in an attack failure (we're still working on what to do with Microtargeting and Go Physical)

    Love this hunt forward concept. Imagine the private sector parallels. Big, well-funded, mature CIRT offers to hunt in lesser capable orgs that might also be targeted by similar threat actors? Less peer-to-peer, which is widespread, but more mutually beneficial mentorship.

    Note: This is the only Hunt Forward operation ongoing at this time, and earlier operations with other allies this year Cybercom told reporters about in May have ended.
