Tempting, but I'm not sure I can blame anyone but myself for new problems that may show if I try and get around a bug in a program by moving to a LESS mature version.
You can maybe make a Linux build with the beta only and keep the stable version for other platforms? Better than nothing.

I may have to. I'm already in a state where my mac build only works if built on a mac (which is not my primary dev environment). So that gives me 3 build setups I need for each build. Yay.
