It makes me laugh a lot, UWP is a bad platform and Microsoft is the evil BUT you like iOS and Android and buy content on their closed stores... Even on macOS, so what's the problem with Microsoft?

I can understand the business decisions behind it - I don't have a problem with the concept of a walled garden as far as apps are concerned. It works on Mac and iOS. It's just that UWP feels like too much of an internal power play rather than for the good of the eco system.
The Microsoft Store have changed! I submitted my first game when Windows 8.0 was released. Since then it has changed a lot. With a single account you can make a game for VR, PC, mobile and Xbox One!! Thx to .Net Standard 2.0 the API is MUCH better now.

Just a pity nobody goes to it. A developer friend had a game featured on the front page of the Windows Store and sold something like 3 copies. It's where games go to die. Pity because honestly the world needs a better competitor to Steam.

What game? I'm a small indie (it's my second job) and I sold many games, that's the only platform where I can sell games like that. Too much games on steam or http://itch.io . The MS Store is just perfect for me (VR games).
