I can now render @cyannick 's modified Sponza model in my deferred rendering engine. No separate specular data per material yet. But it looks kinda good already :). But I do really need better texture filtering.pic.twitter.com/wPkWvI7G01

In your screenshots the textures (especially the curtains) are much more crips. I've looked over your shaders and your only using linear filtering. What other techniques did you use to make them look better?
This is the default material settings of my model importer https://github.com/demonixis/C3DE/blob/develop/C3DE/Extensions/ModelExtensions.cs#L41 … however you'll notice that results are not the same with the Forward and the deferred renderer because the deferred shader is still very WIP (and based on your ;))
