I don't fly any FPV but I have wanted to get into the sport for a long time. Will you be able to control your drone with a radio controller? I heard some Sims let you do that!
If you want to get a good and not to expansive one, get an used FrSky Taranis QX7. You'll be able to learn how to fly (with simulators, not only mine), practice and fly with a real one when ready

That is the exact radio controller I was looking at. I hear it's very reliable, easy to use and setup, a great middle to high end controller.

In any case, you'll be able to use the simulator with a gamepad, I've a special configuration for gamepads. It's not as good as a real radio controller, but it's OK in most cases.
