Following the last Unit's blog post about multiplayer, I don't recommand Unity anymore to any developers. For months communication with Unity is bad. Everything is in preview, issues are not fixed. I understand it's moving to something bigger, but hey, developers are still here..
Trying to use it to make money. Take a blog post about a release and search for the Preview term. Yes... since Unity 2018 everything is in preview and you're very encouraged to use it. If you want to make something that works, just go to an LTS.
Unity 2019.1 doesn't work in VR when post processing is enabled. I reported this bug may the 9th. It's still not fixed. Oh yes Unity is used a lot to make VR apps, but probably not so many because they don't really care about it.
Finally I recommand today to use @UnrealEngine as a replacement because it's more stable, network is fine, you don't have to pay for tools (for instance to generate LODs), everything is not in preview, it's VR friendly and the support is much better. It's also open source.
