Unreal Engine is open to everyone on equal terms, including competitors. There’s a Unity Ads plug-in. There’s native Steam support. At the peak of our UWP argument with Microsoft, they maintained a GitHub fork with support and we referred mutual customers to it.

The fork is outdated of two versions. The 4.21 introduced so much cool things, I hope they'll update it! UWP have changed, you can build a simple appx and exchange it and/or install it on every PC. It's like an APK now. I would love to see UE4 support it.

Especially because with UWP you can build for PC and Xbox One at the same time (same file) which is very cool! It's great for small indie (like me) developers that can't join the Xbox Program and target the Creator Program Store.
