The OSVR plugin did a great job with that, probably the only 3rd plugin implementing VR natively in Unity (but only on Windows). Unreal have an abstract class for that, so your plugin is well integrated, with good performances! Also I would LOVE to fix typos of my previous tweet
The Pico SDK on Unity uses a dual cameras setup, which is bad for performances. The code is over engineered and probably forked from an old Google Cardboard SDK. It contains a lot of bad C# things and a lot of transform.Find / GetComponent in many Update methods :'(
