I think it's planned to replace the "old" like they said GameObject/MonoBehaviour. That's why I'm scared about that.

Ah yeah... if I had to guess, they'd probably make hybrid ECS the "legacy" way to use Unity3d if they did that? That'd be a bit sad indeed. I wouldn't be against updates to the existing system, but not replacing it outright

Me too.... New features like Lightweight and HDRP are awesome. I hope they'll talk to developers to explain exactly what is changing and what is our plans to keep it simple. Look at the last released code (network/projects) it's fucking complicated
