For northern California: Heavy rain on Sunday and Monday will bring 1-3" for Bay Area cities, and 3-6" of rain in surrounding mountains prompting flash flood concerns, especially downstream of recent wildfires.

For southern California: Monday and Tuesday will bring 1-3" of rain for the coast/valleys and 3-5" of rain in surrounding mountains, enough to cause mudslides near recent wildfire burn scars and disruptive urban flooding.

For the mountains: A beneficial major snowfall should bring 12-18" of snow to mountain watersheds and ski areas, but will make travel through passes difficult or impossible.
