Thanks to my friend Scott Aaronson for generously publishing this on his blog. He has taken the courageous and important stand of deciding not to publish in or give interviews for Scientific American until they change their editorial direction

It's getting huge airplay in the twitter-sphere! Congrats! Although sad that it was necessary.

Appears Scientific American has pumped both geo-engineering duckduckgo.com/?q=scientific+ and the CCS delay tactic of the fossil fuel industry scientificamerican.com/report/carbon-
Any thoughts if their editors or business side take fossil fuel industry money now?

My dad had a stack of Scientific Americans in his basement going back to the late 60's. Whenever I had a question about science he couldn't answer, we'd consult The Stack. I learned so much from them. So intelligent. Gardner, Smullyan, etc. That's SciAm to me. Unrecognizable now
