Have to hand it to Akron: they do a good job burying the info about which programs they're cutting, to the point where it's not mentioned in the Chronicle article. It's hidden on this page in drop-down menus after they talk about what they're NOT cutting: https://uakron.edu/advance-ua

Dude cutting labor economics and sociology is absolutely a good thing. Only shame is that they didn't replace them with Greek/Latin studies and powerlifting facilities.
If they were to eliminate both the arts and the sciences, just think of the kind of stadium that could be built with the proceeds.
