Let's push back HARD on this right wing attack on our SF Public Education! Our City, Our Values! Please VOTE for Gabriela LΓ³pez, Alida Fisher, and Karen Fleshman for SF Board of Education.
"Families who have lost loved ones at the hands of police are also victims of violence. We deserve basic respect, common courtesy and support. I have had none of that from Jenkins or her staff in charge of this case."

The thing I see the police doing most in my neighborhood is homeless sweep. Iβm actually concerned that theyβre stealing/throwing out homeless peoples stuff.
All of this has been provided to the court through detailed public records, testimony, etc. which led to the court injunction in the first place. This motion is simply another attempt by the city to do everything it can OTHER than house people.
Dear #SanFrancisco: if you truly want solutions to the crises in our streets, then support the things that truly work to improve people's lives: permanent supportive housing (w/ wraparound services), drug treatment on demand, more navigation centers, and 100% affordable housing!
My latest column: A year ago, Autumn Looijen and Siva Rajβs idea to recall the San Francisco school board worked. Now they have a new plan: training other newbies to enter SF politics too. Plus, I checked in with the three recalled commissionersβ¦

The last thing my trans student emailed me before they died by suicide was an op-ed they wrote to their local newspaper arguing for trans inclusion in highschool sports. They mentioned how cruel the comments from community members were. These annual "debates" hurt trans people.
βIf we donβt take a critical look at the true motives of those driving this national dialogue, the ideals that San Francisco represents for all Americans β progress, innovation, inclusivity β may become a thing of the past.β β¬οΈ
Conservative activists both locally and nationally have criticized and targeted San Francisco for our progressive values. They have mobilized tech investors and weaponized instability and fear to stoke conflict between communities of color

This is like βbillionaireβ Trump asking for donations. You have more money than you could possibly need to run this scam. Your funders have already bought every buyable politician in the city; what more do you want?
Today, Feb 2, is the demisemiseptcentennial anniversary of The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. 175 years ago, after the US-Mexico War of 1846-48, the Indigenous communities of the north became an internal colony of the United States. Chicanos have never forgotten this dismemberment.
Just another βDemocrat for the Not-Republican Recallsβ, once local SF mom who thankfully moved but couldnβt give up her attachment to try to fuck things up locally. Bottom line, not a person who is fighting for the most vulnerable in our society
To be noted, before becoming a βsocial media expertβ in the Trump era, DiResta was known as a Jane Street trader and multi-year mentor for Thielβs anti-education 20 Under 20 program, aka the Thiel Fellowship. Development in #TyreNichols event in San Francisco today at City Hall...
April Green, aunt of Keita O'Neill, a man fatally shot by an SFPD rookie, was disinvited from speaking there today.
Why? She planned to critique DA Jenkins handling of the case, and had supported DA Boudin.
Urban Alchemy is a de facto police force being sued for labor & civil rights violations. UA hired former head of homeless sweeps in SF & their director Lena Miller was close w former DPW head Nuru who pushed for contracting w UA before being arrested by the FBI for corruption.
New: S.F. tapped Urban Alchemy to respond to low-level 911 calls about homelessness instead of police in a new pilot. Community groups who campaigned for the program are pushing back on the pick. Imagine that youβre more concerned about kids being 3 months behind academically, than 10.5 + million children losing a parent or caregiver in the last 3 years.
Remember that actual San Francisco parents tried to push back as best we could. We had *no help* against the obvious Astroturf brought by DeSantis and friends. None.

$30+ million dollars this cost us and not a peep from the usual terminally online SF haters about city waste, corruption, and mismanagement. So weird! (Hint: the recipients are rich)
The long saga of SF's sinking and leaning Millennium Tower may soon come to a happy end, with the building still mostly upright and residents able to feel more secure.

Evictions will give their investors "confidence in cash flow growth". They're evicting 100s of tenants to bail themselves out.
They're finally being honest - they don't care about their tenants or human rights.

I've lived, reported on, been politically involved in #SanFrancisco for 30 years. The #fentanyl crisis is real and awful. So is #homelessness crisis. Neither has any roots in left or progressive policies. That is a false and profoundly misguided rightwing talking point.
whatβa hilarious about these silly replies is that none of these people are anti-landlord, they love landlords or, as they lovingly call them: housing providers. but yes, landlords should be disqualified from holding public office, great point anonymous troll
