It is an interesting concept there. My model of immortality is that memory is finite and therefore they would forget their furthest experiences. Even if they could have infinite memory most would choose to lose their past to allow for a sense of purpose and discovery.
Immortals are rarely sentient. Sentience is a property of new experience—as we age, emotions and events lose their novelty. We resort to patterns. In fleeting moments of awareness, I panic at the encroaching dark. The panic saves me for a while, but soon I will get used to it
