I know the point of long form improv is to create something entirely new, but at some point I'd either love to see or be apart of a long form improv show where everyone improvs a Shakespeare play from memory. No rules. Just a messy convoluted version of Hamlet or R&J or something

KING LEAR. IMAGINE A BUNCH OF COLLEGE STUDENTS ALL STRUGGLING TO REMEMBER THE PLOT OF KING LEAR WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY PERFORMING IT WITHIN 30-45 MINUTES. But like, I feel like, no matter what play, a whole ton of additional "not originally in the play" plot points would happen.

Oof can u imagine a bunch of college kids trying to recreate the plot of A Comedy of Errors? “I thought you were Dromio.” “I AM Dromio, and so are you.” “Why are there so many doubly named characters in this show I’m so confused.” “Which Antipholus are you?” “I don’t know, man.”

At some point regardless of the play everyone would just start stabbing each other and there's a good chance they'd be right

I’d watch a YouTube series of drunk/high English majors trying to retell the plots of Shakespeare plays.

I'm on it. I just need to find some friends who'd be down
(also I would have to just be sober cuz let's face it, I'd be weird enough to make it work.)
