Everyone is entitled to protest as they choose as long as its peaceful. That is their right.

Funny.....my employer expects me to WORK when I'm on the clock, not protest. Time and place.
-
Does your employer make you stand for the national anthem?
-
No, they just ask me to do my job....and I do it, because they’re my employer.
-
And the NFL is paying them to play football. When they start paying them to Stand at attention when the national anthem plays your argument will then be valid.
-
Well yes actually they are paying them to stand at attention, they pay them to be present during the entire game/practices/interviews, so yes actually they are being paid to stand there for 3 minutes then begin play.
-
So you're saying Eric Reid missed out an incentive last week
-
Also the other issue is freedom of speech is not protected when it comes to your employer, if their teams feel they are detracting from the brand those contracts can be cancelled

A flag is a symbol. Do not confuse nationalism with patriotism, Jim. And if you want athletes to stop taking a knee, start addressing why they're kneeling.
-
Perhaps these PLAYERS taking a knee can start addressing why they are kneeling - give me a break. They are millionaires, the lot of them. How about they use their free time to do something about it? Brown IS trying to do something by talking to the President.
-
Doesn't take much googling to see what charities and causes your favorite player or team (or least favorite, as it were) donates his time and money to. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised if you gave it an honest look.
-
Every financial advisor for these million dollar athletes builds into their tax planning either their own 501(c)(3) or some high level of donation to charitable foundations as it is completely tax deductible. That's not activism.
-
So what you're saying is that you're not even going to bother looking. As long as we understand each other, I guess...
-
I've been down this road before - Not sure why you assume I haven't.
-
1 - you're making sweeping generalizations about the players' motivations. 2- time is not tax deductible, and you have no idea how or how much these guys donate their time 3- If a tax break renders charity invalid, then we're all selfish assholes.
-
Also, not all 501c3s are created equal. They can be more or less generous depending on the whims of the manager. Do some people abuse them? No doubt, but many don't. Unless you're prepared to prove they're being abused, you can't dismiss them with a wave of the hand.

Jim Brown threw a woman out of a moving car. Maybe she didn't stand for the anthem?

Please don't confuse Trumpers..they think they're on a patriot roll.
-
On a patriot roll, an election roll, a Supreme Court roll, a midterm poll roll, a cultural shift roll. So yeah pretty much on a roll. Thanks for pointing it out and sorry in advance for the ass kicking you’re about to receive in nov. lol.
