(also, because this is news to a lot of people, your local library/community likely also has a check out/rental system for non-book/movie/music things too! my library rents specialty cake pans and bike locks, my friend's rents out board games and kid's toys!)

It's spring in the northern hemisphere so take a quick look in your local library and/or local community for a "seed library," which provide free packets of seeds for you to take and plant. Not just flowers - they have herbs and vegetables that you can grow and eat.

the system may be broken, but a diagnosis is not meant to label you as different it's meant to provide a framework for how to help. many people in the world experience some of the same symptoms as major diagnoses, but if they are managing fine, then it's not a diagnosis.

attn ppl of twitter/tiktok/tumblr: having some common symptoms of a diagnosis (specifically autism and adhd) does not mean you have that diagnosis. diagnosis and treatment is meant to be for those whose activities of daily living are disrupted by their symptoms and need support.
