I guess a lot of my bellyaching comes down to the fact that a lot of people a broadly agree with have a lot of trust in "the people" and "the majority" and the more you are in the minority the less of that trust you can share.
If the choice is "the bad Republicans threaten the people's voice!" or "the bad corporations threaten the people's voice!" I guess ethics demand that I go with the latter, but neither is a response to the political question posed by my body.
