I think it's a non-trivial problem, worse than annoying, if a school can't celebrate its country's founding.
Great. So why don’t we find a way to celebrate the country’s founding while acknowledging that for some of us, who are also present and who also matter, the founding of that country was more tragedy than triumph? It’s hard, but nothing less will do.
