All it takes is for someone in power in America to stand up and say they’re for the little guy, every time, and then accurately identify who the little guy is. It really is that simple, and it’s that simple to sell to the American people too.
Politics is nothing but hard choices where both sides at least FEEL like they have a compelling reason to be fighting for their cause. But if you use the simple guiding principle of “first shall be last and last shall be first,” you get it right more times than not.
I feel like that message could break through, maybe not, but I feel like it could. So why don’t I ever really hear it?
(That would probably make us some progress domestically but we’d keep fucking it up internationally, I suppose. Argh.)
