People really very seriously think that you have to be nice to racists so they won't vote for Donald Trump. Do they understand the position that being nice to racists generates Donald Trumps, and will continue to do so unless we change our approach to anti-racism?
I guess... I don't understand why anyone seriously thinks we're just going to get out of America's reckoning with race by having everyone hush up and let the racists say their piece? That might accomplish short-term Clintonesque electoral victory, but it won't forward antiracism.
