again, the question of how the United States can behave in a morally acceptable manner as a nation among other nations is probably the thorniest and maybe more crucial political question that exists right now.

You know, "abolish the CIA" is not an unreasonable goal within our lifetime. and wouldn't necessarily require some horrible revolution to achieve either. It just requires a major rethinking of how the US relates to other nations.

Every country needs intelligence services, who’s gonna hunt down terrorists & international criminals & enemies of the state whose going to keep an eye on potentially violent internal dissedents. A country that doesn’t have ppl doing those things tends to get owned by competitors
